The new Perse Sports Centre which includes a 25-metre swimming pool, 10.5m climbing wall and sports hall is just one of P A Collacott & Company’s latest completed projects. Providing the Building Energy Management System for the local school in Cambridge to help the children of the next generation excel within the sports curriculum and give the local public the chance to use brand new facilities in their area.
From maintaining the water temperature of the swimming pool to regulating supply air temperature within the sports hall to keep a cool climate whilst sports are carried out within, PAC’s Controls systems are monitoring 24/7 to keep the climate up to setpoint providing enjoyable activities to all who use the facilities and preserve the energy efficiency when unoccupied.
The BEMS is more than just keeping temperatures up to setpoint it incorporates the use of sustainable energy sources such as ASHP (Air Source Heat Pumps) to reduce our carbon footprint running the earth sustainably.
This new addition to The Perse involves monitoring extra plant meters e.g. Heat and Water. Our Modbus network used on site with Synapsys incorporates all the data to allow the user to take readings effortlessly and adjust settings to help reduce these readings further where possible.
